About Kelly
Kelly is a Psychotherapist specializing in Art Therapy. Kelly grew up in an Italian neighborhood in Philadelphia where a garden of healing food was growing in every yard. Experiencing loss at a young age, in a time when mental health was stigmatized, led Kelly into the direction of therapy and her creativity, or sometimes lack of creativity, led her to art therapy. After feeling stuck and unhappy in her career, she completed her Master's in Counseling Psychology at Holy Family University (never too late) and began a major life transition. Kelly has a range of experience using art therapy in inpatient psychiatric settings to treat trauma, eating disorders, self-injury, anxiety, and depression. As an art therapist, Kelly provides each client the ability to communicate their thoughts and feelings through the creative process. Kelly collaborates with all ages in a safe, nonjudgmental space, meeting each client where they are in their journey. Kelly believes in holistic wellness for a whole person approach to healing. As an artist, Kelly works with multiple art mediums such as photography, collage, sewing, painting, book alterations, sculpture, and drawing.
In Kelly's free time, she enjoys gardening, cooking, being in nature, reading, energy medicine, and spending time with her family including her rescue dogs, Bucky and Olive Oyl. Kelly is Usui Reiki Level 1 and 2 certified. She is in the process of becoming an Herbalist and uses herbs and nature as part of the healing process.
